Here stands majestically a Balinese landmark or mascot, namely the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue which depicts the figure of Lord Vishnu. riding his mount, Garuda, 121 meters high. The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park area is at an altitude of 146 meters above ground level or 263 meters above sea level.
In that area there is also a Garuda Statue. Right behind the Vishnu Plaza is the Garuda Plaza where the 18 meter high Garuda head statue is placed. At this time, Plaza Garuda is the focal point of a large hall of carved limestone pillars covering more than 4000 square meters of open space called the Lotus Pond. The colossal and monumental limestone pillars at Lotus Pond create a very exotic space landscape art. With a room capacity that can accommodate up to 7000 people, Lotus Pond has earned a good reputation as the perfect place to hold large events, both national and international.
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue was inaugurated on September 22 2018 by President Joko Widodo
